James R. Fleckenstein is a sexologist, researcher, educator, and coach with over two decades of experience helping people improve their intimate relationships. His insights led him to create the Affirmative Intimacy® approach to building sustainable and healthy relationships.
Jim's expertise has been recognized by his selection to present at thirteen major therapy and counseling professional conferences since 2002. He was an invited contributor to the US chapter of the Complete International Encyclopedia of Sexuality, and has appeared on TV, radio, podcasts, web articles and in the pages of the Chicago Tribune and the Guardian (UK).
He has published two relationship research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and a chapter in an academic book. His first book, Love That Works: 38 Awesome Hacks for Amazing Relationships came out in December, 2019.
Carol M. Morotti-Meeker, MS, MLSP is a counselor and therapist in private practice with more than 25 years' experience helping individuals and families. Her specialties are alternative and multigenerational families. Carol has been a reviewer for The Family Coordinator journal. She has presented a number of papers to professional counseling organizations and community groups around the US. She holds a master’s degree from Iowa State University in Family Relations and a second master’s from the Bryn Mawr College School of Social Work and Social Research.
